Fig. 1. Dress for Little Girls of Seven to Nine Years Old. - Costume of pale grey mohair, consisting of skirt and polonaise. The skirt has a flounce, headed by two stand-up frills, above this is a narrow band of blue taffetas. The polonaise is open in front, to display two folds of mohair, headed by blue taffetas, and two bows of the same material. Similar bows are introduced on the polonaise. Collar en revers piped with blue taffetas. Mother-o'-pearl buttons. - Fig. 2. Costume for Boys of Seven to Nine. - Trousers, waistcoat, and jacket of black velvet, with broad black braid and buttons. - Fig. 3. Low dress for Little Girl, of bright pink cashmere with gathered flounce and puffing; the bodice is scalloped at the edge, bound with black velvet, and ornamented with velvet bows. Muslin chemisette with long sleeves.
